Room No 34 explores my experience navigating institutional systems as a transgender man through painting, screenprinting, and painting. I approached institutional spaces as structures that authorize bodies through documentation, diagnosis, waiting, and repetition. By distorting hospital objects and bureaucratic imagery, the work constructs an alternative space that questions and reshapes institutional structures.
