Article 40 –
A person who wishes to change their gender may personally apply to the COURT TO REQUEST PERMISSON for gender reassignment. HOWEVER, in order for the permission to be granted, the applicant must be at least EIGHTEEN YEARS OLD and UNMARRIED, and must also be of TRANSSEXUAL NATURE, providing an official medical board report from an educational and research hospital that certifies the necessity of gender reassignment for their mental health.
Based on the GRANTED PERMISSION, if it is verified by an official medical board report that a gender change surgery has been performed IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTENDED PURPOSE AND MEDICAL METHODS, the court will order the necessary correction to be made in the civil registry.
